OUR FIRST PROJECT IN
ROMANIA
With the mobile clinic, has Sache Foundation the ability to treat animals on site in border areas.
Every single animal is accustomed by the keepers with a lot of love and patience to humans again. It was impressive for us to see how much the animals love and trust their keepers.

MANY THANKS
The SACHE Foundation is our partner organization on site in Romania. They carry out all castrations and medical care. (sache.info)
Without our donors it would not be possible to carry out the project. We are very happy about the trust they place in us!

THE PROJECT IN BRIEF
THE PROJECT IN DETAIL
The overpopulation of dogs and cats is a problem in Romania
Dogs are one of the most common pets in Romania. They are divided into two categories: Dogs that are dependent on humans and dogs that are not dependent on humans. Dogs that have an owner are divided into pets, yard dogs or guard dogs in traditional households and working dogs. The latter category includes dogs trained for protection and guarding, hunting dogs, dogs with various functions in government institutions (army, police, customs, civil defense), and therapy dogs. (Pencea & Brădățan, 2015, p. 1) The lack of effective programs for neutering dogs with or without owners, combined with the constant practice of abandoning unwanted puppies or adult dogs, is currently cited as the main reason for the large number of stray dogs in Romania, with cultural factors also contributing to the problem. Dogs that do not meet the requirements for a guard dog or unwanted puppies (mostly females) are abandoned, resulting in a constant source of dogs that successfully reproduce. Thus, households that own dogs lead to overpopulation when they abandon unwanted puppies on the streets. (Wink, 2018, p. 43f.)
Your donation will be invested in spay/neuter vouchers
As you can see from the map in the above chapter, the first project will take place in Romania, near Bucharest. Often, the people living in Romania have a dog as a pet, but cannot afford the castration of the animal. Keeping several dogs as pets is also costly. As soon as the pet dog gets puppies, these puppies are abandoned on the street, because maintaining several dogs is too expensive. We make it possible for destitute residents in Romania to have their pet dogs and cats neutered so that they do not reproduce and thus no puppies are abandoned.
We cooperate with the SACHE-Foundation(click here for the website). This foundation specializes in the castration and medical care of animals. The castration of an animal costs a certain amount (see below). As soon as you donate this amount your donation will be collected centrally. Afterwards we travel to Romania as a local team. The donations are paid to the local veterinary clinic, which issues vouchers for castrations to our team. We give these vouchers to local people who are accompanied by us to the clinic. The pet is neutered at the veterinary clinic and returns to the resident's household. Since the neutered animals cannot reproduce, the likelihood of unwanted puppies being abandoned on the streets is reduced. In this way, the uncontrolled overpopulation of dogs is counteracted.

Transparency is what we focus on
Transparency in donations is a top priority in our projects. After completion of the project, each donor receives a personalized report on what was achieved with the donation and which animal was supported by the donation and in what way.
This means for the general public: On this website we will publish the number of donations we travel to Romania with. In addition, we will publish the verifiable spay/neuter vouchers that were financed by the donations. Furthermore, we will list on our website all dogs/cats (with pictures) that have been verifiably neutered through the neutering vouchers.
This means for you as a donor:
YOU WILL RECEIVE A PERSONALIZED
